Donna Sutherland

Donna Sutherland

General Manager, Peguis Development Corporation

Donna is the General Manager of Peguis Development Corporation, Donna began working with Peguis Development Corporation in 2008 as Project Officer. Donna’s duties involved working with clients and businesses in providing business support and assistance. Economic development provided an opportunity for Donna to work directly with the community and the businesses Peguis Development Corporation oversee. Peguis Development Corporation manages the Peguis Family Foods, Peguis Home Hardware, Peguis Midway and Chicken Delight.

Donna’s experience includes working with Northern Medical Unit for 2.5 years, 8 years with Social Development and 1 year as Youth Employment Worker. Donna completed her Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager Certificate in 2003 and Business Accounting and Management Studies Certificate in 1999. Donna is a graduate of Peguis Central School from class of 1989.

Donna believes that it takes support and teamwork to build a strong successful community. In order to achieve our goals, we have to work together, plan strategically and support each other. Together we can make a difference and that’s what makes a great team! Without our people, our team cannot achieve this goal.

Patrick McKay

Patrick McKay

Project Manager, Peguis Development Corporation

Patrick is a Peguis community member who is currently Project Officer at Peguis Development Corporation. Patrick has been with the Peguis Development Corporation since January 2013. Patrick is also a graduate from Peguis and a recent graduate of Red River College’s Computer Applications for Business with Honours in 2012.

Patrick worked in the community previously as an Educational Assistant for Peguis Central School from 2005-2010. Patrick is also a Board Member for Peguis Juniors Hockey Club.

Barry Mann

Manager, Peguis Midway & Chicken Delight

Barry Mann is the Manager of Peguis Midway & Peguis Chicken Delight. Barry became manager back in 2011. Prior to taking the position at Peguis Midway/Chicken Delight, Barry spent his previous 6 years as an accountant for Peguis Home Hardware. Barry is a graduate of the Red River College – Business Administration program; during his schooling he also worked as an Aboriginal Customer Service Representative with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) – Aboriginal Banking Unit. Barry is a hardworking, goal oriented individual who believes in promoting and supporting his community. His goal is to turn the businesses into the communities main convenience attraction.

Gloria Stevenson

Gloria Stevenson

Store Manager, Family Foods

Gloria is the Store Manager for Family Foods. Gloria is from Peguis First Nation. She is married to Derby Stevenson and has 4 children.

Gloria first joined the grocery store as cashier in 1994. As time went on she learned how to order groceries, do stock and inventory and other tasks around the store. Gloria was later promoted to head cashier, where she counted trays and did the floats in the morning as well as deposits and balancing the drawer everyday. Gloria excelled in the head cashier position which later led to a promotion as store manager. Gloria loves her job and her customers!

Kevin McCorrister

Kevin McCorrister

General Manager, Home Hardware

Kevin McCorrister is a member of the Peguis First Nation in Treaty 1 region of Manitoba. Kevin has over 19 years of dedicated commitment and experience working with the Peguis Hardware Limited in the area of hardware. In the past 4 years, Kevin has worked as the General Manager of Peguis Hardware Limited and has attended home hardware workshops throughou various regions in Canada. As General Manager some of the duties that Kevin is responsible for are: Budgets, finance, sales, ordering supplies and merchandise, and overall management of everyday maintenance and operations of the Peguis Hardware Limited. Kevin is believes in offering expert advice and assistance to his valued customers. Kevin also holds great pride in supporting and mentoring his staff in fulfilling their role in best practices as effective sales persons and sales clerks.
